I am the author of two books: the memoir Ghost Wife (Black Inc., 2013), and the poetry collection Electricity for Beginners (Clouds of Magellan, 2011). Both were praised by reviewers, and Electricity for Beginners was highly commended in the Anne Elder Award (for the best debut poetry collection in Australia). I have a Ph.D. in creative writing from the University of Queensland, and have taught writing at universities in Brisbane and Melbourne. I have also worked as a freelance editor of books and theses.
